The Challenge
A large consultancy operated a highly-federated global program in which many countries and territories were free to operate as they pleased. Regional and national sourcing agreements existed for many categories of activity, and the global program only existed in a few areas such as airline and hotel agreements. This created a complex web of nested and overlapping policies, and functional and financial hierarchies.
The Solution
The consultancy deployed PredictX, which ingested the separate hierarchies in operation, along with each of the regional, local and global policies. Within PredictX, logic was created for each incoming transaction ( booking or payment) so that it could be separately allocated to each of the hierarchies, with the appropriate policy attached to it. This allowed for all booking and payment activity to be tracked in one place, and for all global data consumers to work from a single source of truth.
The Impact
The immediate impact of the PredictX deployment has been:
- Clarity on what responsibilities sit with which team.
- An understanding of which level in the global structure is appropriate for the management of various activities.
- Knowing which compliance levels are implemented across each individual geographic and functional section.
- An improved sourcing and policy management initiative.
